NATO has officially made a very important announcement that worries the whole world, and this is because it reveals a very important decision taken by Russia, one that shows us once again that the Kremlin wants to occupy and destroy Ukraine, an objective that existed since the beginning of the invasion, a few months ago.
NATO confirms the fact that Russia has already started the major offensive that has been talked about for several weeks, and announces that at the moment there is a logistics race to supply the Ukrainians with ammunition, weapons, and military equipment, so that they can face the assault which the Russian army prepared in several regions of the country.
NATO says that the allies also need larger stockpiles of weapons, considering that the war in Ukraine requires more weapons and ammunition than the countries of the alliance can produce at the moment, which raises big question marks about the possibility of sustaining the country in the case of the extension of slavery for several years.
"Russia has already started a new offensive in Ukraine. It is clear that we are in the logistics race. Key capabilities such as munitions… must arrive in Ukraine before Russia can take the initiative on the battlefield. We are in a logistics race, speed will save lives. The war of Ukraine is consuming an enormous amount of ammunition and depleting Allied stockpiles.
Ukraine's current rate of ammunition expenditure is many times higher than our current rate of production. This puts pressure on our defense industry. For example, the waiting time for heavy ammunition increased from 12 to 28 months.”
