According to ANRE regulations, consumers connected to the natural gas distribution system are classified into categories according to the amount of gas consumed annually. The consumption categories are: C1: final consumers with an annual consumption of up to 280 MWh (280.000 kWh). C2: final consumers with an annual consumption between 280 MWh and 2.800 MWh (280.000 kWh and 2.800.000 kWh).

C3: final consumers with an annual consumption between 2.800 MWh and 28.000 MWh (2.800.000 kWh and 28.000.000 kWh). C4: final consumers with an annual consumption between 28.000 MWh and 280.000 MWh (28.000.000 kWh and 280.000.000 kWh). C5: final consumers with an annual consumption of over 280.000 MWh (280.000.000 kWh). C6: consumers who benefit from the proximity distribution tariff. C7: consumers benefiting from the transit distribution tariff.
