ENGIE'S OBLIGATION Brings ATTENTION to all Romanian Customers

ENGIE, the company whose natural gas and electricity services are currently relied on by a very large number of Romanians from all over the country, officially informs its customers about an obligation they have, and which they must respect it, if they do not want to have the provision of services stopped.

ENGIE explains to the Romanians the fact that they have the obligation to allow the company's representatives to check the consumption index in the location where the services are provided for them, and this because otherwise their supply can be stopped, based on the legislation that is in place at the moment in force.

Based on the information that ENGIE Romania has published below, the suspension of services will not be done immediately, but if its representatives are prevented 2 times in a row from taking readings at the consumption location, there is a possibility that the supply of electricity services and natural gas to take place, so we must be vigilant.

ENGIE Romania has published on its website detailed information on what Romanians in this situation need to know, and this is because anyone is targeted by these measures, and we must always know what can happen. in the event that we do not respect them, for various reasons.

What if I don't allow access to the distribution operator's representative to read the index? According to the legislation* and contractual provisions, you have the obligation to allow the distribution operator's representative access to the meter, to read the index, based on which the supplier will issue the regularization invoice.

Failure to comply with this obligation may lead to the interruption of electricity or natural gas supply. If in a certain month it was not possible to allow the representative of the distribution operator access to the meter for reading the index, the regularization invoice will be issued at the next reading and will cover the entire period between the readings performed by the distribution operator.
