Dubbed FluBot, the new Android malware infects phones around the world with the goal of accessing passwords and bank cards saved on those devices. Users receive an SMS containing a link and the text "new voicemail". Upon accessing the link, customers are prompted to download an Orange voicemail app.
The app is actually malware, and once installed, it asks for additional permissions to access your phone's address book. In this way, control over the device is obtained and SMS messages with reference to fraudulent links are generated.
