The Romanian Army also announces that the Romanian military is also carrying out other artillery exercises in the Grohotis range, the latter being carried out without the participation of any troops of the NATO allies in Romania.

The 81st Tactical Missile Battalion conducts the UNIREA 23.11 exercise!

The 81st Tactical Missile Battalion "Major Gheorghe Șonțu", a structure within the 8th Tactical Missile Brigade "Alexandru Ioan Cuza", is conducting the UNIREA 23.11 exercise in the Secondary Combat Training Center Smârdan, connected to the multinational artillery exercise DYNAMIC FRONT 23, organized by US Army Europe and Africa Command (USAREUR-AF).

The main training objectives are aimed at training and developing the skills of the general staff in planning and executing activities specific to the battalion command point, testing and validating technical interoperability through the ASCA (Artillery Systems Cooperation Activities) protocol, as well as training subunits in the execution of tasks specific to structures equipped with the HIMARS system.

The shooting sections of the 206th Artillery Battalion "General Mihail Lăcătușu" carried out a tactical exercise with combat firing in the Grohotiș temporary range.

The gunners from Ghimbav trained in spotting targets, making artillery calculations in the shortest possible time, executing the fire and correcting it in case the objective was not neutralized with the first salvo.
