Ursula von der Leyen Announces New Decisions of the European Commission for Ukraine

Ursula von der Leyen officially announced a series of new decisions of the European Commission taken to support Ukraine in full war with Russia, and this because the defense industry in the European Union is going to increase its production in the coming months and years, in order to supports the war effort.

Ursula von der Leyen talks about the production of military equipment, but also of ammunition, a European commissioner declaring today that the European Union wants to produce 1 million shells annually for Ukraine, but also the European countries that are part of NATO, so we are talking about a lot official help.

"Ukraine heroically resists the brutal Russian invader. We stand by our promise to support Ukraine and its people as long as needed. But the brave soldiers of Ukraine need enough military equipment to defend their country. Europe steps up support on 3 tracks.

Member States provide ammunition from their existing stockpiles. Together we will procure more ammunition for Ukraine. We are increasing and accelerating industrial ammunition production in Europe. To provide more ammunition for Ukraine and to strengthen our EU defense capabilities."
