Marcel Bolos officially announced a series of extremely important decisions for a large number of Romanians in our country, who need help during this period, and this is because it immediately brings to our attention what will happen to the money of to the European Commission for helping the elderly in the coming years.

"Within the call, projects will be financed that will ensure: Construction of new social housing; Rehabilitation of individual social housing adapted for the elderly affected by housing problems, rehabilitation and adaptation of the environment in the personal/individual housing of vulnerable elderly persons.

Modernization/rehabilitation of day care centers; Providing home care services such as: personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, feeding and hydration, transfer and mobilization, indoor movement, communication, food preparation, shopping, housekeeping and laundry, facilitating movement outside the home and accompanying, administration and asset management, accompaniment and socialization.

Complementary services provided in an integrated manner: medical care, rehabilitation/recovery, occupational therapy, psychotherapy, psychopedagogy, social, legal and information counseling, etc. Day center services for assistance and recovery will provide personal care services, integrated with complementary recovery and functional rehabilitation services (recovery/functional rehabilitation therapies).

Therapeutic and occupational activities, as well as psychological counseling, emergency telephone line, assistance and support for the elderly person's family, support for carrying out administrative activities and asset management, etc. Who can submit projects. Authorized accredited public and private social service providers, in partnership with local public authorities in the locality/localities where the project is implemented. The applicant's guide "Communities for seniors - support for vulnerable elderly people affected by housing problems" is in public consultation until of May 26 and is available on the website.

The call for projects will be open from June 11 to August 10, 2023, and funding applications can be submitted exclusively through the MySMIS2021 / SMIS2021+ application. The Social Inclusion and Dignity Program (PIDS) comes with a set of integrated measures that support the application of national and local strategies to directly contribute to supporting the process of reducing the phenomenon of poverty and supporting vulnerable groups in order to overcome the situation of social exclusion.
