Minister of Education: Parliament's LAST MINUTE Decisions Announced to Students, Teachers and Schools

Minister of Education Decisions of the Parliament LAST TIME Announced to Students and School Teachers

The Minister of Education officially announced the decisions taken by the Romanian Parliament, through the Chamber of Deputies, for students and school teachers from all over Romania, and this is because Ligia deca confirmed that the draft Education Laws were voted and adopted in committees, following a process extremely complex, in the last months.

The Minister of Education speaks below about the major importance of this achievement, which will have an extremely large impact for all of Romania, and this is because the new Education Laws will bring profound changes for the educational system in our country, for the generations that will graduate from school.

"The education laws were adopted today by the Chamber of Deputies! It is an important step for Romanian education! I thank everyone who contributed to the development and improvement of these draft laws. We start, with fresh forces, towards the debate in the Senate. Debate and collaboration always produce the best results, especially when there is a common goal: quality education for a better future for Romania's children.

The package of Education Laws represents the ambitious project that the governing coalition has undertaken. The Ministry, through its team, and with the help of the entire society, developed a package of coherent reforms and predictable measures. We are talking about a necessary change in the education system, and the investments, the prioritization of disadvantaged areas in the budget allocations, and the measures aimed at success along the entire educational path, are just some of the basic pillars.

Romanian education needs all the support. Today's teachers' protest confirms this. I clarified, in the discussions we had including yesterday with the representatives of the trade union federations in education, that we want the same things. As Minister of Education, I will fight for the teaching profession to be respected, including from the salary point of view.

The work of teachers must be appreciated, and they will always find a partner in the ministry. The pre-university education law was intensely debated, and the form submitted to the parliamentary process is the result of a collective effort to which thousands of people voluntarily contributed. We all know, however, that debate and collaboration always produce the best results, especially when there is a common goal.

Quality education for a better future for all Romanian children. During the Parliamentary debates in the committees of the Chamber of Deputies, in which I participated every time, a large number of amendments were proposed, and many of them, which were also accepted, address important problems of education in Romania."
