Defense Minister: The Romanian Army Targeted by Breaking News with News on the Military and NATO

Minister of Defense Targeted Romanian Army Announcements BREAKING NATO Military News

The Minister of Defense made a series of last-minute announcements regarding the Romanian Army, and this is because the Minister of PSD, Angel Tîlvăr, is officially speaking about the moment when Romania would be able to use the F-35 planes it intends to use in missions to buy them for the Air Force in the coming years.

The Minister of Defense also talks about the close collaboration with NATO, in the context of the war in Ukraine, our country's membership in the alliance ensuring peace while Russia is destroying Ukraine, and you can see more details about what the Minister of PSD says at the moment down.

"We want the industry to be involved in the endowment programs of the Romanian Army, and the Ministry of Economy does it whenever possible. We want this for the purchase of F-35 planes, because it places us somewhere at the top of the food chain in terms of having such combat capabilities.

We have situations that send us to 2029, other situations that send us to 2030 (n. ed. regarding the delivery of F-35 planes). In general, I avoid giving very clear data, because I also avoid not keeping my word, but this is the interval that I allow myself to discuss, because in the discussions I had with my main collaborators , and with the Air Force Chief of Staff, these were the years that seemed appropriate to be mentioned for operationalization.

The fact that we are part of the most powerful military alliance in the history of this planet, the alliance that covers the security needs of more than 1 billion people, is extremely important. Here, we are now in the situation where we are reliable partners, respected in NATO. From our point of view, we want the Black Sea to have a better defined profile, in terms of attention and support.

We are glad that the Black Sea appeared in the strategic concept from Madrid. In the B9 format, which I had the honor to preside over in Warsaw, I once again brought up the importance of the Black Sea as a strategic area on this flank, also taking into account the way Russia acts in this geographical space.

We were hoping from Vilnius, an emphasis on the importance of the Black Sea in NATO's strategy. The allied military presence in Romania is an important one, one that helps, balances, and gives the character of resilience and deterrence in this part of the eastern flank. We collaborate very well and intend for this military presence to continue, to expand."
