Marius Budai: LAST HOUR announcements regarding the GENERAL STRIKE in Education

Marius Budai Announcements LAST TIME GENERAL STRIKE Education

Marius Budai sends to the millions of students, parents and teachers in Romania, a last-minute announcement regarding the general strike in education, one that paralyzed the educational institutions yesterday, and will do so again today, because it has not yet reached a agreement with the trade union federations in education to end the strike.

Marius Budai explains below what kind of discussions took place, and what kind of proposals were made for the trade union federations, their answers being awaited, but in the meantime the general strike will keep the schools and high schools closed, while the universities organized yesterday a warning strike.

"From our point of view, for us, apart from any political positions that we could negotiate these days and yesterday we could meet to discuss future public positions, we preferred to meet with the education unions out of respect for those over 300.000 workers and out of concern for the more than three million children, because those innocent children do not have to suffer.

Certain solutions, which the coalition leaders proposed, were admitted yesterday. We are still in dialogue and we call for dialogue, so that what can be resolved now can be resolved again, and I think it was a statement by Marcel Ciolacu, when he left here, from the Government, when he said very clear and it was agreed in the coalition that everything that means education will be a priority in the next coalition government program.

But also a priority when the education law is drawn up. As you saw yesterday, the opening of the coalition is anytime and the answer is anytime, starting from this moment, anytime, now and immediately, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, anytime. And that's what I did yesterday, isn't that what I did yesterday? I called them on dates.

We are waiting, I explained to them what is happening in the future, I also explained to them the shortening of the calendar, we had certain conclusions and a public communication was made yesterday from the Government, I will not repeat now what was foreseen there. Your answer follows, after which the discussions continue.

Believe me, I didn't have time to look in the press today, but I tell you that the openness to dialogue - and this is what the prime minister and the president of the Chamber of Deputies also told them - is permanent and that's how it should be."
