Austria: Karner Officially Requests RADICAL Measures, Last Minute Announcement for Romania and Schengen

Austria Karner Officially Requests RADICAL Measures Announcement LAST TIME Romania Schengen

Austria continues its offensive to fulfill the requirements related to the Schengen Area, with Minister Gerhard Karner declaring that a series of radical measures are immediately needed so that the EU is not an attractive area for illegal migrants, continuing to emphasize the processing of asylum applications in outside the EU countries.

Austria is also demanding a radical reduction of social assistance for migrants, so that they are stimulated to work, not to live off the money offered for free as part of this social assistance, and this request comes for the reform of the entire social assistance system at the EU level, not only at the national level, as is done now.

Austria also demands the faster deportation of illegal migrants, including to countries that are not safe, such as Syria, but only in the case of those who commit crimes, or have been convicted in their countries of origin, theoretically these measures should secure the Space Schengen, and to facilitate the faster accession of Romania even in 2023.

"The European asylum system is now so broken that we have to rebuild it. We have to do everything on the asylum brake. We must deprive the smugglers of their business base. That is why we demand that asylum procedures outside Europe be possible. There should be no more economic incentives to flee to Europe.

Many migrants, for example from Tunisia and India, would leave for purely economic reasons. The incentive must be to work – not to settle for what you get in terms of public support. Social welfare should be adjusted and reduced at European level. Otherwise, we will always have countries that are especially considered as target countries.”
