Orange and yellow weather warning codes ANM, the National Meteorological Administration, of the last hour in Romania on January 25, 2024, bring to our immediate attention all severe weather meteorological phenomena that we should know about.
ANM talks below about an orange wind code, which at gusts reaches 120 km/h, associated with snow, so visibility can be reduced to 50m, but also about yellow wind and snow codes, multiple regions being affected by what it happens in the next hours.

In the area: Suceava County, mountain area above 1800 m;
There will be: strong wind intensifications that will exceed 120 km/h at gusts, temporarily associated with snow, which will cause the visibility to drop below 50 m.

Validity period: January 25, 10 a.m. – January 25, 22 p.m.
Targeted phenomena and affected areas: wind intensification in Banat, southern Crișana and Transylvania; blizzard in the mountains, especially at altitudes above 1700 m.
In the counties of Arad, Timiș, Caraș-Severin, Hunedoara, Alba, Sibiu and Brașov, the wind will intensify with gusts generally of 55...65 km/h.
In the mountains, especially at altitudes above 1700 m, the wind will intensify with gusts of 90...110 km/h, it will snow blizzard, and visibility will be reduced.
Note: Wind intensifications will also be in the rest of the territory, with speeds generally of 40...50 km/h.

Targeted phenomena and affected areas: wind intensification in Moldova, locally in Transylvania, Oltenia and Dobrogea; blizzard in the Southern Carpathians and Curbura, especially at altitudes above 1700 m.
In Moldova, northern Dobrogea, southern Transylvania and southwestern Oltenia, the wind will intensify with gusts generally of 55...65 km/h.
In the Southern and Curvature Carpathians, especially at altitudes above 1700 m, the wind will intensify with gusts of 90...110 km/h, the snow will be blizzard, the snow will be scattered and the visibility will be reduced.
