Orange, the largest telecommunications group active in Romania at the present time, has started to notify its customers about a measure according to which their subscriptions will become more expensive starting from 2024. We are talking about a unilateral decision by those from Orange, which in the last fiscal quarter announced a decrease in revenues, but also in the number of customers, so that now the company is most likely trying to recover some of the losses.
Orange has started to notify its customers in Romania about the fact that starting from April 1, 2024, some of the subscriptions will increase in price by up to 2 euros, including VAT, per month, depending on the subscription. We are talking about more expensive subscriptions for Orange Romania Communications customers starting on April 1, 2024, this group company providing television and fixed internet services for customers taken over from Telekom.

Orange will also increase the mobile phone subscriptions for some of its customers, but starting on April 19, 2024, notifications to this effect have already been sent to some of those who will be affected by the new measures. Considering that we are talking about a very large number of clients that Orange Communications has taken over from Telekom, it is expected that many, if not all, of those coming from Telekom will receive these notifications.
Orange has not published on its website information regarding the increase in the price of subscriptions in Romania, which is not a big surprise, but the measure will surely upset many of the company's customers. In recent years, those from Orange have constantly increased the prices of their mobile phone, fixed internet or television subscriptions, just as Vodafone, Telekom, or DIGI RCS & RDS have done, so it is not unusual to see increases even now .
At the moment, Orange has almost the best telecommunications services in Romania, being overtaken by DIGI RCS & RDS only for fixed internet services, also having the largest number of clients.
