The Minister of Education LAST MINUTE Standards Imposed Ligia Deca Vattamantul Romania

The Minister of Education officially announces a series of last-minute standards, which are imposed for the education system in Romania, and this is because Ligia Deca wants to bring to the immediate attention of all Romanians the evaluation standards for the qualification of teachers to teach in higher education.

The Minister of Education details below what the evaluation of teachers who want to teach in the university environment in Romania will be based on, and this is because, theoretically, Ligia Deca makes us understand that strict rules should be followed by those who want to learn students from universities all over Romania.

"The minimum necessary and mandatory standards will be based on information provided by the candidate; they must be accessible in public databases, thus being easy to check by the evaluation commissions, independent of the candidate's self-reporting. The minimum standards will reflect the quality of the scientific achievements (publications in specialized journals) of a potential candidate, respectively the impact and recognition of his activity
international scientific research.

Candidates will include in the competition file, in full format, a minimum of 5, respectively a maximum of 10 scientific articles published as author/co-author in specialized journals in the declared field, which they consider representative of their scientific activity. They will constitute a basis for evaluating the scientific activity of the candidate by the competition committee.

The minimum quantitative standards detailed below represent a preliminary condition that must be met by a candidate to initiate the process of obtaining the qualification certificate. Their fulfillment is a necessary, but not sufficient, condition for obtaining the qualification certificate. Evaluation of candidate skills cregarding the performance of professional didactic activities will be made on the basis of possible additional criteria

Proposed by the IOSUD institution to which the Doctoral School belongs or to which the holder of the habilitation certificate intends to carry out his activity as a doctoral supervisor, but without lowering the standards imposed by the minimum criteria below. A candidate for the habilitation must demonstrate originality in the declared field/subfield of research.

For the candidates to obtain the qualification certificate, in addition to the minimum scientific standards, minimum didactic standards must be met, respectively minimum didactic standards attesting to the candidate's managerial skills. The evaluation of the candidate upon obtaining the qualification certificate will be exclusively the responsibility of a committee of experts who will appreciate, in addition to the scientific activity, the entire performance of the candidate in the competition tests established at the level of each higher education institution/IOSUD."
