Sebastian Burduja LAST MINUTE Activities Officially Announced MILLIONS of Romanians ALL OVER THE COUNTRY

Sebastian Burduja, the Minister of Energy, together with the President Klaus Iohannis and a distinguished delegation of the country, participates in the Nuclear Energy Summit in Brussels, an event in which Romania plays a leading role, this being an important forum dedicated to discussions about the future of nuclear energy.

Sebastian Burduja says the summit is considered the most important high-level global event for the nuclear sector, bringing together heads of state and experts from around the world. At the heart of the discussions is a clear and unified message: the world needs nuclear energy, a safe, competitive and zero-emissions source. "It is the first edition and a historic day", stressed Burduja, expressing his honor to be present at the event alongside renowned leaders and specialists.

Sebastian Burduja, since assuming the mandate of Minister of Energy, has determinedly assumed the mission of accelerating the Romanian nuclear program, placing it at the top of his priorities. Romania is respected worldwide for its tradition of excellence in the nuclear sector, based on the performances of the Cernavodă plant and the outstanding contributions in advanced research, exemplified by the ALFRED generation IV reactor.

Another aspect that places Romania in the vanguard of nuclear innovation is the courage to adopt the technology of small modular reactors (SMR), a promising direction for the energy of the future. Our country is recognized for whole generations of first-rate experts, and the Politehnica University of Bucharest is the place where the future specialists and operators of these reactors are trained, in the only profile simulator in Europe.

The Minister of Energy states that, in terms of innovation, Romania is gradually consolidating its integrated nuclear cycle, regaining its uranium and heavy water production capacity. It is also notable for the construction of the world's third detrition facility at Cernavodă, and the tritium produced is considered a candidate fuel for future reactors based on nuclear fusion.

Participation in the Nuclear Energy Summit underlines Romania's commitment to a sustainable energy future and demonstrates the leading role our nation occupies on the global nuclear energy scene.
