Italy and Giorgia Meloni receive an official last-minute blow from the European Parliament, the completion of Romania's accession to Schengen being affected.

Italy Strike Giorgia Meloni Official Announcement LAST MOMENT of the EP, Romania's Schengen Accession Affected

Italy and Giorgia Meloni receive a very hard blow, together with Karl Nehammer of Austria, Pedro Sanchez of Spain, or Ursula Von der Leyen, after the European Parliament decided that the agreement concluded with Egypt must be cancelled, which would affect Romania's accession to Schengen, because it could lead to a huge increase in migration in the coming years.

Italy was one of the countries participating in the signing of an agreement, on behalf of the EU, for the financial support of Egypt with 7 billion euros, in order to reduce the number of migrants arriving on European territory, something that Karl Nehammer wanted for a long time, in order to be convinced to allow the completion of Romania's accession to Schengen, perhaps even in 2025.

Italy strongly supported the project, through Giorgia Meloni, but the European Parliament wants it broken because it ignores serious problems with respect for human rights in Egypt, the authoritarian measures of the president, but also the unusual procedure of granting money, without his consent, and this can delay or even block the completion of Romania's accession to Schengen in the future.

"The multi-billion dollar agreement signed by the EU with Egypt to stop migrants must be broken. This is requested by the European Parliament which accuses the Commission of not taking into account the serious situation of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the North African country.

The agreement aims to restore the country's unstable economy, with the aim of stabilizing it and avoiding an increase in migratory flows to the EU. The pact, however, was signed by bypassing the European Chamber, which could not touch the ball regarding the allocation of more than 1 billion euros for macro-financial assistance that was activated through an emergency procedure."
