ANM, the National Meteorological Administration, issued last-minute official information with the weather forecast for 14 days in Romania, bringing to our immediate attention how the weather phenomena will evolve until Easter 2024, at the level of the entire country.
ANM offers below detailed information about the weather forecast in Romania in all regions, i.e. in Banat, Moldova, Transylvania, Dobrogea, Muntenia, Crisana, Maramures, Oltenia and in the Mountains, so we know what the precipitation will be, possible wind movements and not only that.
ESTIMATION OF THE EVOLUTION OF THERMAL VALUES AND PRECIPITATION BETWEEN APRIL 22 – MAY 5, 2024
The estimate is made using the numerical products of the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) in Reading, England. The maximum and minimum temperatures are forecast, averaged for each region of the country and locally adapted with statistical models, and the periods with the highest probability of precipitation are indicated.

The interval from April 22 to 26 will be characterized by significant thermal alternations, so average values of maximum temperatures between 14 and 18 degrees are estimated. Later, between April 26 and May 1, the weather will gradually warm up, with average maximum temperatures around 26 degrees.
By the end of the forecast range, the weather will enter a
cooling process, so the average maximum will be 22 degrees. As for the nighttime thermal regime, the first week will be characterized by significant thermal alternations, with average minimum temperatures between 4 and 9 degrees.
After the night of April 28, the air temperature will gradually increase towards minimums around 12 degrees (on the night of May 3), then in the last two nights of the interval they will decrease to averages of 9...10 degrees. The chance of rain will be higher between April 22nd and 27th and again towards the end of the range.
CRIŞANA
The interval from April 22 to 26 will be characterized by significant thermal alternations, so average values of maximum temperatures between 12 and 20 degrees are estimated. Later, between April 26 and May 1, the weather will gradually warm up, with average maximum temperatures around 26 degrees.
By the end of the forecast period, the weather will enter a cooling process, so that the average highs will be around 20 degrees. As for the nocturnal thermal regime, the first week will be characterized by significant thermal alternations, with average minimum temperatures between 3 and 8 degrees.
After the night of April 27, the air temperature will gradually increase towards minimums around 11 degrees (on the night of May 3), then in the last two nights of the interval they will decrease to averages of 9...10 degrees. The chance of rain will be higher between April 22nd and 27th and again towards the end of the range.
TRANSYLVANIA
The interval from April 22 to 26 will be characterized by significant thermal alternations, so average values of maximum temperatures between 10 and 18 degrees are estimated. Later, between April 26 and May 2, the weather will gradually warm up, with average maximum temperatures around 24 degrees.
By the end of the forecast period, the weather will enter a cooling process, so that the average highs will be around 20 degrees. As for the night temperature regime, in the first week the minimums will fall between 1 and 7 degrees, on a regional average, and after April 29 the air temperature will rise slightly and it is estimated that minimum temperatures will be recorded around 9 degrees. The chance of rain will be higher between April 22-27 and again towards the end of the forecast period.
MARAMUREŞ
The interval from April 22 to 26 will be characterized by significant thermal alternations, so average values of maximum temperatures between 10 and 19 degrees are estimated. Later, between April 26 and May 2, the weather will gradually warm up, with average maximum temperatures around 25 degrees.
By the end of the forecast period, the weather will enter a cooling process, so that the average highs will be around 20 degrees. Regarding the night thermal regime, between April 22-27, the minimum thermal values will fall between 2 and 7 degrees, and after April 27, the air temperature will rise slightly, towards a minimum of 9...10 degrees.
In the last two nights of the interval, the minimums will drop to 8...9 degrees, regionally averaged. The chance of rain will be higher between April 22-27 and again towards the end of the range.
MOLDOVA
In the first week, between April 22 and 28, the maximum temperatures will be between 12 and 22 degrees. In the rest of the forecast interval, average highs between 20 and 24 degrees are estimated, with the highest values to be recorded between April 30 and May 2.
As for the night temperature regime, in the first week the minimums will fall between 2 and 7 degrees, and after April 28, the air temperature will rise slightly towards minimums that will be around 10 degrees. The chance of rain will be higher between April 22-27 and again towards the end of the range.
DOBROGEA
In the first two days of the forecast interval, maximum temperatures of 14 degrees are expected, then the weather will warm up significantly, so that on April 24, the average maximum will be 22 degrees. After April 24 and until the end of the interval, the average highs will be around 20 degrees.
As for the nighttime thermal regime, the minimum temperatures will fall between 6 and 12 degrees, and after April 28, between 10 and 12 degrees, regionally averaged. The probability of rains will be higher between April 22 and 24.
MUNTENIA
In the first week, between April 22 and 28, the maximum temperatures will be between 14 and 21 degrees. In the rest of the forecast interval, average highs between 22 and 24 degrees are estimated, with the highest values to be recorded between April 30 and May 2.
