Marcel Bolos Two Official Decisions LAST MINUTE Measures Announced to All Romanians of the Country

The Minister of Finance, Marcel Bolos, announced on Wednesday that he had successfully completed the procedures to ensure the early payment of pensions for all 4,74 million pensioners in Romania, in the total amount of approximately 10 billion lei, with the aim of facilitating an Easter quiet for the country's seniors.

"It's a gesture of solidarity and respect for our citizens who depend on this income for their daily living, allowing them to focus on what's really important during this festive period," said Bolos. According to the minister, out of the total funds, 8,2 billion lei represent the opening of budget credits made during today's day.

Marcel Bolos says that from tomorrow, the County Pension Houses and the Romanian Post Office will start distributing these amounts, ensuring that the money will reach the beneficiaries in a timely manner.

Marcel Bolos emphasized the progress made in the collection of revenues to the state budget and the fight against tax evasion, relevant during the monthly discussion with the Regional General Directorates of Public Finances. "We recorded total receipts of 97,1 billion lei in the first quarter of 2024, compared to 83 billion lei in the same quarter of the previous year," highlighted Bolos.

Each Regional Directorate managed to exceed the set objectives, with Bucharest registering a surplus of 800 million lei. A significant aspect mentioned by Bolos is the positive effect of notifications issued by tax inspection bodies and the intensification of tax controls to ensure tax compliance.

Marcel Bolos continues to place great emphasis on the active support offered to taxpayers by providing clear and accessible information to facilitate an efficient management of tax obligations.

"Each leu collected correctly and transparently represents a sign of respect towards taxpayers and an investment in our collective future, in vital areas such as infrastructure, health and education", concluded Minister Bolos, underlining the government's continuous commitment to improving the quality of life of Romanian citizens .
