Volodymyr Zelensky Explains the Latest Issues Facing Ukraine War

President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that rescue operations continued uninterrupted throughout the day after the Russian missile attack on the city of Dnipro. As a result of this devastating attack, more than 50 people were injured, and the local authorities ensure that all the injured are receiving the necessary medical assistance. Five deaths have now been reported and the president has sent his condolences to the families and friends of the victims.

The attack caused significant damage to several buildings, including a hospital and an enterprise in Dnipro. Zelenskiy also noted that other regions of Ukraine were also targeted by Russian strikes, with targeted aerial bombs targeting Kharkiv and the positions front line of the Ukrainian forces.

"There is only one way we can stop all this: more air defense systems and more long-range strikes on Russian terrorist bases and their air bases," President Zelenskiy stressed. He added that the Ukrainian authorities are actively communicating with international partners to obtain the necessary support.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed thousands of enemy targets, including missiles, aircraft, helicopters and drones, demonstrating effective defense of cities and communities. "All this is the admirable work of the anti-aircraft missile troops of the Air Force, which saves the lives of our people and secures the infrastructure," Zelenskiy said, thanking these troops for their professionalism and precision.

In the same context, the president mentioned that the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service sent a detailed report on the current threats and opportunities that Ukraine can take advantage of. The Prime Minister of Ukraine reported on defensive measures to protect energy facilities, including active defense and electronic warfare, as well as reconstruction efforts and cooperation with European partners to expand electricity imports.

Zelenski stressed the importance of increasing electricity imports from the European Union, thanking the neighbors for their support. "We are doing everything we can to increase imports, and this should be a European decision. Our Government officials are working on that approval," he said.

The President also asked the Secretary of Defense, currently in the United States, to obtain precise data on the additional delivery of Patriot systems, agreed with international partners.

"Thank you to everyone who works hard for Ukraine and Ukrainians! Thank you to all those who believe in Ukraine and bring the results that Ukraine needs closer!" concluded Volodymyr Zelensky.
