Nicosor Dan, the general mayor of the Capital, recently announced a series of important measures for the consolidation and modernization of the urban infrastructure, as part of a project financed by the National Program for the Consolidation of Buildings at Seismic Risk.
Nicosor Dan says that one of the priorities of this program is the consolidation of a building built in the 30s, located on Pictor Ștefan Luchian street no. 12C. This building, located in a protected area in the center of Bucharest, underwent rehabilitation works that began many years ago, but were later abandoned.
Nicusor Dan announces that after the approval of the General Council of the Municipality of Bucharest, the seismic consolidation and energy efficiency works will be resumed. The Municipal Administration for the Consolidation of Buildings at Seismic Risk is to obtain all the necessary documents for the award of the execution contract.
The City Hall of the Capital awarded the contract for the purchase of 20 mini thermal power plants, intended for areas where the thermal agent is not delivered at optimal parameters. This investment will ensure the efficient supply of heat and hot water for 340 blocks, where more than 16.300 families live, totaling approximately 40.000 tenants from all six sectors of Bucharest.
The modular thermal energy production plants will be located near the thermal points located at the ends of the network, in sectors: 1 (4 thermal points), 2 (6 thermal points), 3 (3 thermal points), 4 (1 thermal point) , 5 (3 thermal points) and 6 (3 thermal points).
Nicusor Dan confirms that the delivery of the mini power plants is expected within 30 days from the date of the order, after the signing of the framework agreement. After the reception of the first units, the Municipal Company Energetica Servicii will start the assembly and connection works. The first five mini power plants will be installed at the Thermal Points: Radu Beller (Str. Av. Radu Beller no. 30/Str. Nicolae Constantinescu no. 66), 2 Victoriei (Str. Munții Tatra no. 27), 3 Labirint (Str. Matei Basarab no. 85), 7 Virtuiti (Str. Virtuiti no. 17) and 8 Virtuiti (Str. Dealul Țugulea no. 25).
The Capital City Hall, through the General Directorate of Social Assistance, organizes free digital training sessions for elderly people who want to learn to use smartphones, tablets, computers and various useful online applications.
These sessions are held monthly, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, between 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., at the headquarters of the Day Center for the elderly - Perla, located in Ștefan cel Mare Street no. 1-3, in the block behind Perla Restaurant. Through these initiatives, the local administration aims to improve both the safety and comfort of homes, as well as access to essential services for the citizens of the Capital.
