The Minister of Education, Ligia Deca, announced the launch of the "Vasile Pârvan" postgraduate and postdoctoral research and training scholarships program at the Accademia di Romania in Rome and "Nicolae Iorga" at the Istituto Romeno di Cultura e Ricerca Umanistica in Venice. These scholarships offer a unique opportunity for Romanian researchers to develop their academic career in prestigious international environments.
Minister of Education claims that for the year 2025, scholarships will be awarded for a total duration of 150 months, each scholarship having a monthly amount of 800 euros. The beneficiaries of these scholarships will also benefit from free accommodation in the two institutions. The scholarship internships will take place for a minimum of two consecutive months and a maximum of two consecutive academic years, starting after January 1, 2025.
Those interested must send the application files electronically, to the e-mail address dosare.candidatura@roburse.ro, by November 8, 2024, 14:00 p.m. (Romanian time).
The Minister of Education informs that, between August 1 and September 26, registrations are open for the FLEX 2025 program. This program offers 30 scholarships for Romanian students who wish to study in the United States of America during the 2025-2026 school year. Students will be hosted by American families, thus having the opportunity to experience the American culture and educational system.
Moreover, based on the protocol signed with the American Council for International Education, Romania will host, starting this year, American students who will study in our country for one school year, living with Romanian host families.
The Minister of Education also wishes good luck to the more than 33.600 candidates who will take the 2024 national baccalaureate exam, starting tomorrow, in the second session organized this year. The exam will start with the skill assessment tests and the written test papers will be evaluated using the digitalized assessment platform.
Ligia Deca pointed out that, in order to improve the digitized assessment process, feedback forms have already been sent to the teaching assistants and assessors involved in the conduct of this summer's exams. We continue digitization, because it is not only necessary, but also extremely useful for the efficiency of the evaluation process, according to the feedback received from the teaching staff.
These initiatives reflect the commitment of the Ministry of Education to support academic excellence and provide valuable opportunities for young researchers and students in Romania.
