The warnings of ANM, the National Meteorological Administration, official last-minute meteorological nowcasting on November 10, 2024 in Romania, bring to our immediate attention a series of weather phenomena of immediate severe weather, which will affect multiple regions of the country in the next hours, as you can see below.
ANM talks about problems generated by wind intensifications, which can reach speeds of up to 65 km/h in the targeted regions, but rains in quantities of up to 20 l/mXNUMX, or even snow in the mountains are also expected, so we are advised to be careful in the journeys we intend to make.

In the mentioned interval, in the mountain area of Prahova, Buzău, Vrancea, Brașov and Covasna counties, especially at altitudes above 1000 m, snow will temporarily be intense and blizzard (wind speeds of 40...55 km/h) and will deposit a layer of snow, locally over 10...20 cm.

Temporarily the wind will intensify in the southern half of Moldova, Dobrogea and in most of Muntenia, with speeds generally of 40...50 km/h.
The area of precipitation will be expanding and will gradually cover the southeast, south and locally the center of the country. It will rain in the low areas, and there will also be isolated snow and sleet. In the Eastern and Southern Carpathians, there will be mixed precipitation, and at altitudes above 1000 m, from Saturday evening, snow will prevail and a layer of snow will be deposited. Precipitation amounts will be 10...20 l/m25 and isolated will exceed 30...XNUMX l/mXNUMX.
The weather will cool significantly, especially in the south, east and center, and will turn cold for this date.
