LAST MINUTE Plan of the Minister of Education Important Measures for the Deca Schools League

The Minister of Education, Ligia Deca, officially announced a new draft Government Decision, which is of significant importance for the organization and financing of the National Program for the Reduction of University Dropouts (PNRAU) was approved by the Social Dialogue Commission of the Ministry of Education.

Minister of Education officially announces to students, parents and schools in Romania that this program, provided in the new Higher Education Law, has as its main goal the reduction of university dropouts and supporting young people to successfully complete their studies.

Ligia Deca emphasized that PNRAU aims to facilitate young people's access to higher education and to offer them the necessary support to complete their studies, thus contributing to the creation of a more efficient and inclusive educational system.

The Minister of Education conveys that, in order to achieve these objectives, the program includes measures such as activities dedicated to supporting the transition from high school to college, including within dual higher education, and the support of career counseling and guidance centers, which will guide students in their educational process and professional.

PNRAU introduces the activities of consultations with students and remedial activities in the norm of teaching staff, offering them additional academic support. Another important measure is the development of reintegration policies for students who have abandoned their studies, through "Second chance" type programs.

At the same time, a monitoring system will be implemented that will identify the risk of abandonment in time and allow prompt intervention. Higher education institutions will be responsible for developing personalized action plans, adapted to the specific needs of students at risk and the particularities of each institution or study program.

The Minister of Education mentions that these plans will include concrete measures to support vulnerable categories and to create a more inclusive university environment.

Through the implementation of the PNRAU, the authorities aim to improve the graduation rate and create an educational environment that supports all students, thus contributing to the formation of a better prepared workforce and increasing the quality of life of young people. The program is a clear example of commitment authority compared to education, which continues to be a national priority.
