Ministry of Education, Ligia Deca, launches an ambitious program for education in Romania, which all students enrolled in accredited state and private higher education institutions must know about, giving them the chance to get actively involved in the process of implementing educational policies.
Ministry of Education officially explains the fact that this initiative, which includes internships in the central public administration, aims to capitalize on the potential of young people, at the same time offering them a unique perspective on the functioning of the educational system in Romania.
"This program is an opportunity not only for students, but also for the ministry. Young people can contribute in a valuable way to the development of educational policies, while gaining an extremely valuable practical experience in public administration", declared Ligia Deca.
The Ministry of Education reports that eligibility for participation includes several criteria. Students must be Romanian citizens, at least 18 years old, know at least one foreign language of international circulation and have IT skills.
The registration file must contain an official application for the internship, a letter of motivation, a curriculum vitae, a copy of the current student card, a letter of recommendation from a teaching staff, the declaration of consent for the processing of personal data and the individual agreement of practice signed by the student and the faculty management.
Ligia Deca also highlighted the fruitful collaboration between Romania and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in the field of education. In recent years, Romania's active participation in prestigious international studies organized by the OECD has provided our country with high-quality data and analyses, which have been the basis of measures to reform the educational system.
The Ministry of Education emphasized that Romania's accession as a full member of the OECD will be a confirmation of the efforts made to modernize the educational system and to create a fair framework that supports the development of every young person, regardless of social or economic conditions.
"I thank the entire team of the Ministry of Education, colleagues from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the OECD Secretariat for the support offered in this essential process. It is a common effort, which reflects our desire to build a better future for education in Romania", said the minister.
This practice program comes as part of a broader vision of the Ministry of Education to encourage the involvement of young people in the transformation of the educational system. By offering them this opportunity, the Ministry aims to support them in developing their professional skills and provide them with the necessary tools to become the leaders of the future.
