DACIA Bigster First IMAGES The New Special Romanian SUV Model

DACIA Bigster was launched not too long ago by those from DACIA, the new SUV model being on the attention of many people, and the success so far motivated the Renault company to start testing a special version of the SUV in Brazil, which it will be sold on the local market under the name Renault Bigster.

DACIA Bigster in this new medium-sized version is to be launched in the second half of 2025, being intended for consumers in South America. Recent spy photos reveal that the Renault Bigster will not be a coupe model, but a conventional SUV, with a design adapted to the requirements of the Brazilian market.

The DACIA Bigster has the Renault Group Modular Platform (RGMP) at the heart of this project, offering flexibility in terms of vehicle dimensions and configurations. The platform allows a variable wheelbase, between 2,60 and 2,95 meters, as well as three possible configurations for the rear part, which makes the length of the SUV vary between 4 and 5 meters. Also, the gauge width can be adjusted, oscillating between 1,53 and 1,6 meters.

The front of the Renault Bigster is reminiscent of the Renault Kardian SUV, with a double set of headlights and a bumper that projects in front, offering a robust appearance, specific to a compact SUV. Despite the camouflage, the side lines of the body seem to follow the design of the Niagara concept, giving the vehicle a modern and aggressive look.

Unlike the DACIA Bigster concept, the Renault Bigster will have less "square" lines, adopting a more fluid and elegant style. The rear of the Renault Bigster SUV includes elements reminiscent of the Symbioz SUV, with a distinct hood and headlights that extend to the area of the cargo compartment door. The rear bumper is also inspired by the Kardian model, contributing to the overall sporty and powerful SUV look.

Renault has confirmed that the DACIA Bigster version intended for the Brazilian market will benefit from a hybrid propulsion system, an option that meets the needs of the local market for efficient solutions in terms of fuel consumption.

The most likely option is a mild hybrid system (MHEV) of 48 volts, associated with the 1.3 TCe Turbo Flex engine, which will be produced locally. This hybrid system will contribute to the energy efficiency of the vehicle, offering at the same time good performance and low fuel consumption.

The Renault Bigster will be launched on the Brazilian market in the second half of 2025, bringing with it the promise of a medium-sized SUV with a modern design and efficient engine options. With a style adapted to the South American market and with modern technologies, the Renault Bigster is expected to attract the attention of consumers who want a robust, spacious and energy-efficient vehicle.

Renault Bigster promises to be an attractive choice for consumers in Brazil and other South American markets, offering a combination of robustness, modern design and energy efficiency. The recent tests confirm the fact that Renault targets a growing market segment, and the Bigster is the model that can provide an answer in line with expectations.
