Nicosor Dan he emphasized the importance of the elections that will take place on Sunday, stating that they represent a vital decision for the direction in which the country will go. "Sunday's elections are important. I emphasized that it is not about a choice between two people, as many people said, but about the eighth between remaining in the European Union and NATO and electing a president who wants the opposite", he declared.
Nicosor Dan he also discussed the formation of a pro-European coalition government, highlighting the fact that the meeting of the parties that support Romania's membership in the European Union and NATO represents a very good signal for the electorate.
"As long as we have parties that together have more than 65% of the votes in Parliament, a government supported by 35% has no chance of passing. I didn't follow the discussions between them, but when the pro-European parties come to an agreement, they have no chance", mentioned Nicusor Dan.
Nicusor Dan called for the mobilization of citizens for the December 8 elections and emphasized the need to elect a pro-European and pro-NATO president. "But for the moment, I think we must mobilize for the December 8 elections and elect a pro-European and pro-NATO president.
We remain with all the problems we had until now in society, corruption and all the rest, but at least we don't create a huge problem in addition", he said.
Nicusor Dan described himself as a politician who seeks dialogue, not scandal. "I am a politician who seeks dialogue, and not scandal, and the moment something is asked of me, I will do it, because it is a very important decision that we are all going to make, as a society," he said.
Regarding the statements of other political actors, Nicusor Dan expressed concerns about their positions towards NATO and the European Union. "Now, like all Romanians interested in what is happening in this country, I have seen various materials with Calin Georgescu, in which he says that NATO is useless and that we must be friends with everyone, that we must expel the companies.
He said some things that he then said exactly the opposite. On the one hand, he says that he is a traditionalist, on the other hand, the themes in his speech are in no way Christian. I am a kind of animist, so, from my limited knowledge of the history of religions. A very, very strange, unstable person, so, at first glance, I would put this label on him", he declared.
Nicusor Dan reiterated the importance of Sunday's elections and encouraged citizens to actively participate in them the trial democratic, to ensure a pro-European and pro-NATO future for Romania.
