Elena Lasconi, president of USR and candidate for the presidency of Romania, he made firm statements regarding the future of Romania and the direction the country should follow. "We have no way to return to a road of the past, which leads to Russia. This is inadmissible!", said Lasconi, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the European path.
Elena Lasconi emphasized the trust in Romanians' discernment: "Romanians are intelligent and I am convinced that they will make the difference between some fanciful promises made on various social media platforms by a person speaking from the living room and the clear, concrete, real plans that I, the only candidate, offer them who is not part of the system, who has been among people all his life, knows their problems and pains and who also has solutions for them."
Elena Lasconi highlighted the importance of Sunday's elections, presenting a comparison between the candidates: "You have a choice between a man who was not able to stay at a job for more than a year, put in office anyway from a pen, that is, the man system, and a person who worked and was among people all his life.
I am the only candidate who is not part of the system! I have never held positions given from a pen, I have worked all my life privately, and as mayor I was re-elected by the people because I did a good job. And I will do the same as the president of Romania."
In his statements, he mentioned the Christian values that guide him, mentioning the influence of his grandmother: "One of the most beautiful lessons I received from my mother Beti, my grandmother who raised me, was love. The fundamental value of Christianity."
Elena Lasconi spoke about the meeting with IPS Aurel Perca, Roman Catholic Metropolitan Archbishop of Bucharest: "I thank IPS Aurel Perca, the spiritual leader of the Catholics in Romania, for having the kindness to talk together about the social mission of the Church and about the Christian roots of Europe. I also discussed with His Holiness Percă about the European future of Romania, which must be a certainty, and I thank him for his advice and the openness shown."
Elena Lasconi expressed her hope for a bright future for Romania, based on respect and faith: "Romania is a beautiful country and because we have shown and will always show respect to each other, regardless of denomination.
I am an Orthodox Christian, I believe in God with all my being. And I have never renounced God's word and God. I feel it every day in my soul, but I have never paraded my faith. I have him permanently in my life and I have faith that God, this year, these days, will not take his eyes off Romania."
Through these declarations, Elena Lasconi reaffirms her commitment to European and Christian values, urging the citizens to choose knowingly the future of the country.
