Calin Georgescu he still does not give up the fight after the cancellation of the presidential elections by the CCR, the candidate whose campaign is being investigated by multiple law enforcement institutions, stating that he intends to attack at the ICCJ the decisions of the BEC and AEP, taken on the basis of the CCR decision, to interrupt the process of voting abroad and canceling the one in Romania.
Calin Georgescu, beyond the radical and disconnected from reality and inconsistent statements, he is also accused of being part of an illegally run and illegally financed campaign, but nevertheless, he managed to convince an impressive number of Romanians to vote for him, and with the statements of now maintains the state of tension in Romanian society, although the cancellation of the presidential elections is final.
Calin Georgescu must once again go through the process of collecting signatures, 200.000 in number, and validating at the BEC, in order to be able to run again in the 2025 presidential elections, but considering that Diana Sosoaca's candidacy was rejected, it is not excluded for the same thing to happen in his case, considering some statements totally contrary to Romania's interests.
"As a result of the CCR's decision, Mr. Călin Georgescu wishes to make the following remarks following discussions with the legal team: The CCR's decision is indeed binding, but at the same time, according to law, it should be noted that there is no sanction for not putting it into application.
If BEC and AEP respect democracy, then these two institutions can let democracy and voting take place because this decision of theirs is not legally sanctionable by any other institution. Also, ATTENTION, the decision of the CCR is not contestable, instead, any decision of the BEC or AEP can be appealed by Mr. Călin Georgescu to the High Court of Cassation and Justice, an aspect that will happen, in name of the people and democracy!"
