ANM: Official Meteorological Forecast Updated with the Weather Conditions in Romania for 30 Days

ANM Official Meteorological Forecast Updated Weather Conditions Romania 30 Days

ANM, National Meteorological Administration, has published the official weather forecast with the weather in Romania updated for 30 days, carried out by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF).

ANM conveys that these estimates provide a detailed perspective on the evolution of air temperature and precipitation amounts in Romania, compared to the average for the period 2005-2024.

The National Meteorological Agency (ANM) says that air temperatures will be higher than those specific for each week, throughout Romania. This positive thermal deviation will be more pronounced in mountainous areas. Thus, in the week of January 20-27, higher temperatures are expected especially in the Western and Eastern Carpathians, as well as in the Southern Carpathians.

In the coming weeks, until February 17, the trend of increasing temperatures will continue, with average values above normal in all regions. This phenomenon will remain constant, especially affecting the southern and central areas of the country.

The rainfall regime will generally be deficient throughout Romania. During January 20-27, precipitation amounts will be lower, especially in the Western Carpathians, the north of the Eastern Carpathians and the western half of the Southern Carpathians. In the week of January 27 - February 3, the precipitation deficit will increase in mountainous areas.

In the following weeks, until February 17, the rainfall deficit will continue, with a slightly deficient trend at national level. In the week of February 10-17, precipitation amounts will be slightly deficient in the southern regions and locally in the western and central ones, while in the rest of the areas they will be close to normal.

These weather forecasts suggest a period of high temperatures and poor precipitation, which may have an impact on agriculture, water resources and the natural environment. ANM recommends increased attention to extreme weather conditions and the adaptation of resource management strategies depending on the weather evolution.
