ANM, National Meteorological Administration, has issued an official nowcasting weather warning for immediate severe weather for Romania on February 9, 2025, drawing our attention to the high intensity phenomena that will affect us in the next few hours in the country.
ANM has issued a code yellow weather warning for Caras-Severin County, valid this morning, February 09, 2025, between 05:00 and 11:00. According to the National Meteorological Administration, temporary wind intensifications are forecast with gusts between 50 and 70 km/h. During this interval, the targeted localities include Moldova Noua, Pojejena, Berzasca, Sichevita, Sasca Montana, Dalboset, Coronini, Garnic, Sopotu Nou, Socol, Carbunari and Naidas.
The authorities recommend that citizens follow official information and avoid non-essential travel in exposed regions, especially during the mentioned time period. It is also advisable to secure objects that can be carried by the wind and to exercise caution near trees or structures that could be affected by gusts. The nowcasting warning signals possible dangerous situations that may occur in the short term, and the issuance of these alerts depends on the duration and intensity of the phenomena.
The National Weather Forecast Center is constantly monitoring atmospheric conditions and reminds that, in case of intensification of the phenomena, a new warning may be issued for a maximum period of six hours.
