Romanian army is currently carrying out a series of very important tactical training activities in Romania, aimed at consolidating combat skills in difficult environments and strengthening interoperability with NATO partners. Last week, the military participated in exercises in Poland, in the mountainous area and in the Alpine environment, demonstrating professionalism and adaptability.
Romanian army It is reported that the soldiers of the Air Defense Detachment "Iron Cheetahs", within the 16th rotation of the NATO Battle Group, conducted a tactical orientation exercise at the training ranges in Bemowo Piskie. The main goal of the exercise was to perfect orientation techniques in the forested environment and improve physical fitness, by executing a fast movement on the most efficient routes.
In parallel, individual weapon firing sessions were also organized, in collaboration with American partners, at the automated polygon in Bemowo Piskie. This dynamic activity aimed to familiarize the United States military with the weapons used by the Dobruja anti-aircraft artillery, significantly contributing to the exchange of experience between the partner forces.
The personnel of the General Staff of the Land Forces and the Land Component Command participated, on Friday, February 7, in the ceremony of appointing officers to various positions in the Romanian Land Forces. The event, held in the presence of the Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Ciprian Marin, also included the awarding of distinctions and emblems to the personnel who fulfilled their duties in an exemplary manner. This ceremony took place on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of the Union of the Romanian Principalities on January 24.
The military personnel from the Command of the 61st Mountain Hunters Brigade "General Virgil Badulescu" held, this week, at the Delut military cabin, a mountain training camp in winter conditions. During the camp, the soldiers carried out specific command activities, deepened their knowledge of mountains and military topography, practiced descent procedures and completed a tactical march on skis, over a distance of 12 km.
Not missing from these activities, the soldiers of the HIPO company, together with the Hutu horses, presented a demonstration exercise of the samaratization of heavy infantry weapons. At the same time, the personnel of the subordinate structures trained in the alpine environment on the ridges of the Calimani massif, and in the training facilities of the Lunca de Sus garrison, specific training on anti-aircraft defense was carried out, according to the plan.
The training topics covered – from command exercises, search and rescue, to survival and specialty techniques – offer mountain hunters the opportunity to gain new knowledge and develop the skills necessary for fighting in difficult-to-access mountainous terrain. Through these activities, the Romanian Army strengthens its international partnerships and effectively prepares for future challenges.
This series of exercises and experience exchanges underlines the commitment of the Romanian forces to continuous improvement and adaptability to various operational environments, thus contributing to maintaining a high level of interoperability with NATO allies.
