The Ukrainian President mentioned the meeting with Scott Bessent, during an international visit marked by openness to strengthening partnerships in the fields of security and economic cooperation. During this meeting, the preparation of a new document aimed at strengthening ties in the fields of security, resources and economy was discussed, in a context in which the details of the conversation between Trump and Putin were also brought up for discussion.
"We believe that America's power is sufficient so that, together with us and all partners, we can pressure Russia and Putin towards a real peace solution," Zelensky said, encouraging a joint effort by the free world in the face of current threats.
Ambassadors from both states pledged to maintain constant contact and plan future meetings to further elaborate and implement the agreed measures. The President emphasized that the US vision for deepening cooperation was enthusiastically received and that intensive work is underway on a strong agreement, with concrete progress expected by the Munich Security Conference.
