The Minister of Education, Daniel David, announced the launch of important measures for the new national processes that seek to modernize the education and vocational training system. As part of this initiative, the Ministry of Education and Research published for public consultation the draft Decision on the format and content of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), an essential instrument for the recognition and equivalence of qualifications at national and European level.

Minister of Education underlines that study documents will contain clear mentions of the qualification level, in accordance with CNC standards, thus facilitating student mobility and their integration into the European space. This measure comes as part of a broad curricular reform effort, aimed at bringing significant improvements to the pre-university education process.

Separately, between January 31 and March 6, 2025, the Ministry of Education and Research will receive comments and proposals on the draft framework plans for high school education. As part of this consultation process, on Friday, February 14, 2025, between 16:00 PM and 18:00 PM, Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, in collaboration with the Cluj County School Inspectorate, will host the second public debate organized in the Hall of the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business Administration.

The Minister of Education clearly specifies that the hall, with a capacity of 450 seats, will also provide screens in the immediate area for those who cannot physically participate. The entire debate will be broadcast live on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Education and Research, thus offering real-time access to all those interested.

Participation is open both to those present in the room, who will be able to ask questions during the question and answer session (with a maximum duration of 2 minutes for each intervention, followed by a response of up to 3 minutes), and to those who will participate online, through comments on Facebook.

All proposals received will be carefully analyzed and will constitute the basis for developing the final form of the framework plans, contributing to shaping a curricular reform that will meet the current needs of the education system.

The Minister of Education stressed the importance of this open dialogue, stating that public debates are essential for identifying solutions optimal that will ensure a modern, relevant and future-oriented education.
