Romanian army brings to the attention of millions of Romanians the multiple operations in which the Romanian military participates, and this is because, based on official statements, only this week, the soldiers of the "Black Lions" Anti-Tank Platoon, Rotation I, demonstrated their training during the first infantry weapons firing sessions, organized at the Lest Training Center in Slovakia.
Romanian army says that this activity is part of an intense training program aimed at improving tactical performance and coordination in specific operational situations. Since the beginning of 2025, the Platoon, generated by the 285th Artillery Battalion "Vlaicu Voda" and coordinated by the Joint Forces Command "General Ioan Emanoil Florescu", has been actively participating in the exercises of the Forward Land Battle Group in Slovakia, part of the FLF BG-Spain Framework Nation concept.
By exchanging experience and applying standardized procedures, the soldiers are preparing to successfully face the challenges in the field. In parallel, the second edition of the Eagle Warrior 341 exercise is taking place at the 25st Infantry Battalion "Constanta", where approximately 120 French soldiers, together with our colleagues from Dobrogea, participated in intense training sessions.
The Romanian Army confirms that this collaboration within the NATO Battle Group in Romania strengthens the ties between allied forces and consolidates the capacity to act in a dynamic operational environment. At the same time, the soldiers subordinated to the 2nd Mountain Hunters Brigade "Sarmizegetusa" are in the training period in mountain camps, where, against the backdrop of winter conditions, they focus on perfecting ski travel techniques, training tactical procedures and practicing survival techniques.
This training period is essential for maintaining a high level of training and for adapting to various conflict scenarios. The dedication to improvement is also evident in the activity of the Romanian Force Protection Detachment of EUTM RCA, whose level of training is supported by specific exercises, shooting sessions and training on ranges. Following these activities, the Detachment Commander, Lieutenant Antonio Badescu, stressed the importance of maintaining basic skills:
"Maintaining a high level of basic military skills helps us to remain permanently focused on the mission for which we are here. We are, in this complex mission, the piece of the puzzle that represents security and we will continue to ensure a safe environment for all members of EUTM RCA."
Through these various exercises, the Romanian forces demonstrate that they are prepared to respond promptly and efficiently to any challenge, while at the same time consolidating cooperation with international partners.
