Poland is stubbornly defying the EU and acting in a similar way to Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, France or Italy, and this is because a new confirmation came from Warsaw that the new pact on asylum and migration will not be fully respected after Romania's accession to Schengen, as some in Brussels hoped.
Poland complains about the fact that Russia and Belarus are waging a hybrid war and sending migrants from the Middle East to the country's borders to overload social services, with the Poles refusing to receive them, something that after Romania's accession to Schengen is not seen favorably in Brussels, even if it puts less pressure on the Schengen Area.
Poland has repeatedly warned that it will not implement the new migration pact, which should not come as a surprise, because after Romania's accession to Schengen, several countries have confirmed that they want to take radical measures against migration, with Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, France and Italy being at the forefront.
"Poland should be prepared for all scenarios, even the worst ones, such as an attack by Russia. Our consent to this will not be given. We are not saying no because no, we are saying that Poland received a million refugees from Ukraine during the war, and this means a certain financial cost for our state."
"Warsaw basically refuses to accept migrants or to pay if they are not accepted. We are also talking about hybrid aggression. These are people who arrive by plane to Moscow, Minsk and are taken by bus to the vicinity of the border, trained by Belarusian services."
