ELECTRICAL, one of the largest energy groups in Romania, brings to the immediate attention of customers across the country a series of government measures aimed at providing predictability and stability in billing for non-household customers. The new regulations will allow consumers from various sectors to benefit from a capped price, thus facilitating better financial planning in a dynamic economic environment.
ELECTRICAL says that the final capped price for electricity is a maximum of 1 leu/kWh, VAT included, for 85% of the monthly consumption at the place of consumption, regardless of where in Romania it is currently located.
This facility applies to small and medium-sized enterprises, regional operators that provide or provide public utility services, the Metrorex company, airports under the coordination of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, economic operators in the food industry, the agriculture and fisheries sector, local public authorities and institutions, decentralized public services of ministries and other central bodies, companies and commercial companies of interest at county, municipal or local level, autonomous regions.
ELECTRICITY: LAST-MINUTE Official Measures with National Impact Announced to Romanian Customers
ELECTRICA says that it also applies to other public and private entities that provide public services at the local level, national research and development institutes, as well as public institutions except hospitals and educational institutions, including social service providers.
For the amount of energy that exceeds the threshold of 85% of monthly consumption, the price will be invoiced at a maximum of 1,3 lei/kWh, VAT included, and in the case of hospitals, educational institutions and social service providers, the ceiling of 1 lei/kWh applies to the entire consumption.
To benefit from this support scheme, all targeted entities are required to submit to the supplier a self-declaration, signed by the legal representative. This administrative measure simplifies the process of accessing tariff facilities and contributes to the transparency of billing procedures.
The new regulations announced by ELECTRICA are designed to respond to current challenges in the energy sector and to support economic development in various areas. By capping prices, ELECTRICA demonstrates its commitment to customers, facilitating better budget management in the context of market fluctuations and continuous cost increases.
The implementation of these measures, along with investments in innovative technologies and green solutions, strengthens ELECTRICA's position as a trusted partner in Romania's economic and ecological transformation.
