Romanian Post's Decision with LAST-MINUTE Measures Announced for Millions of Romanians

Romanian Post Decision BREAKING NEWS Measures Announced Millions of Romanians

Romanian post, the largest courier company in all of Romania at the moment, has decided that it is time to announce the changes in the operating schedule of its subunits on the occasion of May 1, a legal holiday according to the Labor Code and the Collective Labor Agreement 2024–2025.

Romanian post thus brings to our attention the fact that all post offices will be closed on Thursday, May 1, 2025, with services to resume on Friday, May 2, 2025, according to the usual schedule, so we are not talking about a "linking" of holidays to cover the weekend.

The decision comes in the traditional context of marking International Labor Day, celebrated every year on May 1. By interrupting the activity, Poșta Română respects the legal and contractual obligations regarding the rest of employees, while maintaining, at the same time, its commitment to customers. "The interests and comfort of our service users are a priority in all our actions," emphasizes the company's management.

The Romanian Post Office informs that the public is therefore asked to take this temporary interruption into account and to plan in advance operations that require traveling to a post office - sending parcels, requesting money orders, purchasing stamps or picking up mail.

To avoid any inconvenience, the Romanian Post recommends consulting the official website and mobile application, where the addresses of the units and the detailed operating hours can be identified.

Representatives of the Romanian Post have published a statement in which they also send a special wish to Romanians, even though they will not be able to enjoy the institution's services on May 1st, the situation is identical to those encountered in previous years.

Through this measure, the Romanian Post aligns itself with European practices in the field and reaffirms its social role, ensuring a well-deserved break for employees, without compromising the quality of services offered during the rest of the year.
