Digi Mobil would have been forced by Vodafone to reduce the benefits of national roaming

The mobile phone operator Digi Mobil would have been forced by Vodafone to limit the benefits offered to customers who use their subscriptions in national roaming on Romanian territory, therefore implicitly through the Vodafone network.

For those of you who don't know, in 2014 Digi Mobil and Vodafone concluded a partnership through which the latter obliged to offer the former access to their own national network at a preferential cost, based on legislation adopted in Romania, so Digi Mobil was able to offer customers coverage throughout the country based on this agreement.

Practically any Digi Mobil subscriber can use the Vodafone network for phone calls and internet browsing in a named format national roaming, internet traffic being limited to a certain monthly traffic value, while in the case of phone calls, there were no limits until recently.

Digi Mobil has substantially increased its user base from 2014 until now by selling very cheap subscriptions thanks to the agreement for national roaming concluded with Vodafone, stealing many customers of Orange, Telekom or Vodafone, and this has put pressure on the relationship between RCS & RDS and Vodafone.

Because the large number of customers generates a lot of traffic in the Vodafone network both on the Internet and on the mobile phone side, those from Vodafone would have put pressure on Digi Mobil to limit the benefits of customers in national roaming, something that would have been done.

digi mobile message national limitation1

Unofficially, the understanding would be like all Digi Mobil customers who talk too much in national roaming or make too much traffic through the Vodafone network should be warned that their subscriptions will be suspended, or like they will be charged at the prices charged for calls in other networks or the double cost of internet traffic.

By limiting Digi Mobil customers' access to Vodafone's infrastructure for phone calls and internet, Vodafone frees its network from people who crowd access points with long and constant phone calls, the experience of their own customers being seriously affected because of this.

I have the information regarding this agreement that was imposed on those from Digi Mobil from a telecom source and from the corroboration of some data with user complaints, so take everything as it is and not as something 100% certain, although some of you may have received messages like the one in the image above when you talked too much on the phone while roaming nationally.

Having said that, if Digi Mobil announces that it will limit your phone calls or internet traffic in national roaming, that is, when you are connected to the Vodafone network, then it would be good to know that the decision could be seriously influenced by Vodafone .

What do you think about this problem and to what extent have you been affected by it?

  1. :)) I practically give them a punch in the ass, anyway this year their partnership expires from reliable information and in a maximum of 2 years digi will be forgotten 🙂

  2. Although many say about DIGI Mobil that it is a weak network, it seems that it gives the other operators a lot of trouble. Indeed, it is a network that is still in formation, but has a substantial increase in the customer base

  3. That message capture is only received if you generate minutes for the Vodafone campaign (those with 10 points for each minute received from another network on the Vdf number to purchase a phone) regardless of whether or not you use the native network or the Vodafone network - and it is the equivalent of suspending the cards with unlimited options from Telekom and Orange. But you gave a bad interpretation to the article - my opinion. You can still talk unlimitedly using the Vodafone network through the national roaming agreement, and use the 200 Mb in Vodafone in addition to those allocated in your own network.

  4. Does it say in the contract that they are allowed to make such abuses? As in the commercials, they boast of unlimited. And in these conditions it is not unlimited anymore. Anyway Digi has kkt coverage. It's a big hoax. And this message is the best proof.

  5. I received the capture in a different context, and I told you very clearly that nothing is 100% certain. In the same way, the same message can be sent and when you do a lot of traffic in national roaming, it is not mandatory to have a different message.

  6. At Orange RO, the unlimited is unlimited and does not steal either from the net or from the bill like Vodafone RO and the miserable ones from Telekom RO

  7. I tried the digi network about a year ago and was disappointed, now on the same routes I have maximum signal and no national roaming!!!! It's getting better and better.

  8. Unfortunately for you, digi is increasing its coverage enormously and in a maximum of 1 year it will have a coverage comparable to that of the others, and the worst part is that the rates will remain the same

  9. Same story as 2 days ago from another topic.. Writes on all the fences, UNLIMITED, what does it mean??? Does rcs rds determine my normality? Who establishes this "normal" they say?? If they want to give unlimited, let them assume it.. It's not their problem that they call 24/24..

  10. I don't know what or how much Vodafone was earning from this partnership with Digi, Digi should have managed with what it has, not to connect to the antennas of Vdf or any other operator, then to have seen what they are up to. It would have been like in their commercials "kaput kartela", and not because of the minutes, but because of the signal.

  11. The unlimited is actually limited... a few years ago, when it appeared, you had a common sense limit of about 2000 min... established for the general need of the user

  12. Yes, it is written in the contract that if you abuse national roaming (that is, if you have a Digi signal but you set your network manually on Vodafone) your services will be suspended or overcharged.

  13. "The limit of common sense"? Then why aren't the subscriptions sold as such? "Hello, we are operator X and we sell subscriptions with a reasonable limit of 2000 minutes". Otherwise, in any other civilized country, they are left with lawsuits for the unlimited that is limited.

  14. Orange blocks the cards as soon as they call 500-800 minutes in Vodafone, in the campaign with points...
He doesn't even leave them the 1000 nationals...
But when the fox does not reach the grapes, he says they are sour.
By the way, you cannot "abuse" traffic in the Vodafone network, for the simple reason that you only have 200 MB of traffic included...
This article is more than tendentious...
Zaone, did you really go down that far???
"Digi Mobil would have been forced..." ??? Really?

I haven't read your site for a long time... But I guess reading this article reminded me why I don't go to your site anymore...
To be honest, for Christmas I downloaded a picture for wallpaper...

I understand that you have a sponsor/partner, but don't remain without dignity like this, Zaone...

I hope you come back, maybe I'll read your site again sometime...

  15. I am fascinated by the fact that there are some people who can still believe that an operator pays bloggers to tell the truth about other operators, it is simply mind blowing.
I don't really understand why you brought Orange into the discussion, or... maybe someone is paying you... hmm?
The article is not biased, it is based on some information received from the inside and of course we are not talking about the 200 MB limit for the Internet, but if you are so intelligent that you deduced that someone paid me, I suppose you would have realized that it is it's about other cases on the internet side.
    Welcome back.

  16. With vodafone unlimited is unlimited, at least as far as I'm concerned... And I use the phone quite a lot for national calls in any network. In addition, a maximum of 1 year ago, based on the seniority as their customer, they agreed to cancel a a cost of 150 euros because I had crazy internet traffic.

  17. It is normal for the other JAPCARI BILLIONAIRE operators on OUR THIRST FOR INFORMATION to be dissatisfied. Stop inflating their accounts with overpriced tariffs and products. I personally have a question
HOW CAN DIGI OFFER EXTREMELY MANY OPTIONS AT A PRICE OF THREE EUROS, AND THE OTHER OPERATORS ONLY START AT FIFTY EUROS?

  18. I also received the same message from digi because I have too much vb in vodafone, but not from roaming. I was talking around 17 hours a day and after 3 days it stopped me with the same message.
It doesn't seem normal to me, if they boast about unlimited it should be unlimited, anyway I don't pay their subscription anymore. After that I got a national unlimited telecom card and after I called for 25 days 10 hours a day the same thing, - they blocked no. I can only receive calls. Now I have a 17 euro unlimited ab with orange, I'm curious when or if they stop it too, that thing is 17 euros not 4 euros like with digi. At least if I stop it, I got a Samsung j5 for free, I only paid 34 euros 2 months a year in advance.

  19. In every country there is FUP, Google it. And if you still think you're right, put your hands on them, make unlimited subscriptions to all 4 operators, call nonsense from one subscription to another, and after you're restricted, go to court with them, and explain to them to the judge what you are explaining to us here. Not only will you not earn, from what I understand from you, but you will also be full of money.

  20. Do you?? by all means KK.. liars!.. since I was from Vodafone.. I was suing them for the article above.. they lured people in a year and now they start fooling them.. in 5 minutes of conversation digi is interrupted 2 times.. I leave the city, I still have a signal.. I am not able to use a 2G network and it boasts of 4G.. woe to them, damned ones!!

  21. I don't understand something: if I'm on the phone 17 hours a day... when do you still have time to go to work, work at your job, return to work, eat, wash, sleep etc...?

  22. Take it and think why now Vdf has the best mobile internet in Romania... the time of connections through microwave antennas is over, now in 4G lte the basis is optical fiber.
Do you think these things are not thought out? No one comes with money from home, it is a mutually beneficial partnership, both have interests. Some with coverage, others with a super 4G internet, much better than Orange's, as the rest don't even count.
The problem is that this partnership ruins many calculations from other operators, the most disturbing at the moment is Orange (operator whose interests someone on this technology blog has).
What really irritates me is that the unlimited is limited, but I have never received such messages, unfortunately I never manage to exceed 800-1000 minutes per month... so I don't reach 17 hours/day like that how others succeed.
Just as Zaone has written so many erroneous articles about Rds over time, it will also be true that this article is also written nonsense, based on rumors received from another operator and not from reliable sources. This is how you lose your credibility in public.
    Let's hear only good things!
