Samsung Gear 2 is new SmartWatch company's Samsung, he to be launched together with Samsung Galaxy S5 on the market in the next period. Although those from Samsung have included in Samsung Gear 2 a microphone that allows making phone calls through a smartphone, it seems like the device could include including one YES. Those from Samsung are currently discussing with various operators the possible launch of such a smartwatch, completely eliminating the need to use a mobile phone to make calls.
Samsung Electronics and SK Telecom are said to be in discussions to release a new standalone variant of the Samsung Gear 2, which will allow users to make calls without connecting to a smartphone. Samsung is planning to release the new smart watch equipped with a universal subscriber identity module, or USIM, through SK Telecom, Korea's biggest telecommunications vendor, according to those close to the matter. One SK Telecom source said the new model would only be available in Korea for a while, but did not rule out the possibility of a release in other global markets.
For now, the Korean company is considering the launch of the smartwatch only in South Korea to see how much interest there is for it, but the device could reach markets all over the world at any time. To be honest, I don't really understand why Samsung is struggling to implement such functions in a smartwatch, but if we consider that the first version of the device was not successful and the second one did not enjoy much interest, the decision it seems to be more logical for them.
