Oggi la società Facebook ha annunciato ca peste 1 miliard de persoane utilizeaza lunar reteaua de socializare cu acelasi nume, acesta fiind un adevarat record mondial in acest domeniu. Practic o septime din populatia intregului glob foloseste Facebook lunar, insa vorbim despre o cifra teoretica, deoarece Facebook-ul este plin si de roboti virtuali cu tot felul de conturi false, multe persoane au mai mult de un cont si lista poate continua. Chiar si asa, Zuckerberg este multumit de ceea ce a reusit sa faca, iar in 7 ani de zile Facebook-ul a adunat :
