John Gruber schreef vandaag een artikel waarin herhaalt mogelijke implementatie van een koolstofvezelbehuizing voor de iPad 2-tablet. Het is niet de eerste keer dat dit gebeurt geruchten Wat betreft de iPad 2-tablet: zelfs Gruber presenteert deze niet als 100% correct, maar als de iPad 2-tablet met de koolstofvezelbehuizing eruit zou zien zoals die op de foto, zou ik in ieder geval niet boos zijn. Een tablet met zo'n behuizing zou veel lichter zijn, hij zou iets sneller krassen, maar het esthetische gedeelte zou er veel beter uitzien dan het aluminium exemplaar. De implementatie van een behuizing van koolstofvezel zou ook de signaalkwaliteit helpen verbeteren, dus over het algemeen zou het geen slecht idee zijn.

And even if I were to off-handedly mention such speculation, I’d do so in a footnote and take pains to emphasize the uncertain nature of the information and the second-hand status of the sources thereof. What I would never do is take a flyer and report uncertain speculation as a fact, and, if it wound up not panning out, chalk it up to Apple having changed things at the last moment rather than the report being flat-out wrong all along.
