Almost an hour now Dev Team has launched redsn0w 0.9.4, the version of redsn0w that jailbreaks 3.1.3 firmware released last night by Apple but to do this he uses the exploit from 3.1.2 firmware. YET redsn0w 0.9.4 supports the following devices: iPhone 2G/3G and iPod Touch 1G/2G – the old versions. For iPhone 3G updating to 3.1.3 firmware leads to a baseband update on 05.12.01 so you will lose the unlock!!! Update only if NU you need unlock.
iPhone 3GS/iPod Touch 2G(new models)/iPod Touch 3G are not yet supported si NU they can be jailbroken and it is not even known when they will be able to be jailbroken because Dev Team he didn't announce anything about it.
The jailbreak method is this:
Step 1
Download redsn0w 0.9.4 : [download id=”6″] [download id=”7″] .
Step 2
Download firmware 3.1.2 for your phone here.
Step 3
Open redsn0w and press browse then open the downloaded firmware. CAREFUL!! the firmware should have the .ipsw extension.
Step 4
Press next and check the desired options there, I recommend just installing Cydia to be sure, then let the phone implement the hack.
Step 5
Be careful if redsn0w asks you to put the phone in DFU mode and put the phone in DFU Mode using the tutorial of here, then press next again.
After finishing the process you should have a ready jailbroken phone
