Firmware 3.1.3 disappointing, problematic and ignored by users

Firmware 3.1.3 Today marks one week since the official release via iTunes and though Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), "fixed" some bugs from the previous version a 3.1 firmware it seems that users are not too convinced that the new firmware is worth the hassle. Why? Because firstly the firmware comes with a new baseband, secondly it fixes the exploit found by Geohot for blackra1n and thirdly blacksn0w is incompatible with 3.1.3 firmware even on the old baseband and for most users of iPhone / iPod Touch this is convincing enough to keep you away from 3.1.3 firmware. For now, the owners of iPhone 3GS they don't have any way to jailbreak without using a custom ipsw and no one can unlock baseband 05.12.01 inserted into 3.1.3 firmware.

All these reasons are reflected in the statistics regarding users who did or did not update to 3.1.3 firmware, and the numbers look something like this: 72.3% of users still use it 3.1.2 firmware; less than 1% still use 3.1.1 firmware and 4.6% have previous versions. Worrying figures for Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), who probably hoped to block jailbreaking and decoding with this firmware but only managed to cause unrest in the community iPhone.

Give 3.1.3 firmware it's not bug free, unfortunately some users have reported problems with the correct display of the remaining battery percentage, while others complain that they can no longer properly synchronize playlists with the iPod Touch. Rumor has it Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), will release a new firmware soon to fix these bugs as well so be careful not to get caught 3.1.4 firmware unprepared by surprise.
