On the personal blog p0sixninja claims that the exploit will be used for the jailbreak iPadand does not know if the solution will be implemented in 3.1.3 firmware but considering that the exploit will be brought to light through the implementation of iPad I don't see why they wouldn't use it for 3.1.3 firmware because anyway this exploit will disappear in iPhone OS 4.0.
