Last night certain AT&T customers have received e-mails in which they were informed that their pre-orders for iPhone 4 would be canceled even though after placing the order they received a perfectly valid registration number. It is not yet known how many AT&T customers have received this e-mail, but it is clear that the only American operator that sells the iPhone in the US has given it a shot at this launch and there will certainly be a lot of people dissatisfied with this decision.
Apple has not yet commented on this situation, it will surely issue a press release to the public in which it will explain the whole problem, apologize to customers and inform them that they will have to wait at least another month until they have a new iPhone 4.
