iPhone 4 also has problems with the proximity sensor

In addition to the problems with the screen and the signal, it would seem that the iPhone 4 also has problems with the proximity sensor, that sensor positioned near the top speaker of the phone that has the purpose of closing the screen when you hold the phone to your ear so as not to touch your face buttons on the screen. More users au reported that the proximity sensor in the iPhone 4 is poorly configured so that it closes the screen too slowly and people press the "End Call" key by mistake, for example when they hold the phone to their ear or when they take it from their ear, the sensor opens the screen too early and the result is same.

Yesterday, after camping out 13.5 hours in Jacksonville, a 2 hour drive from Tallahassee where I'm currently attending FSU, I noticed my calls were hanging up out of nowhere. I didn't attribute this to the antenna problem because not only do I have a bumper but the call also didn't show up as failed, merely as hung up (would return me to my recent calls page). I then started thinking i might be cheek dialing...a quick call to moviefone to give me a chance to mess with the proximity sensor using my hands showed it is COMPLETELY out of wack. It takes too long to turn off once you put it to your face (thus hanging up on people with my cheek) and would turn on immediately after pulling it away from my face half an inch. A quick search on google and the macrumors forums show that many people are experiencing the problem.

I would like to tick off a "problem" that for now only manifests itself in certain people, but I am sure that in the coming days the forums will be filled with all kinds of people reporting who knows what other problems. So far the problem with the inverted buttons seems the most original to me, I am waiting with great interest to see what else people find with the iPhone 4.
