Apple is working on a WiFi synchronization method with iTunes

According to some sources Apple is preparing some surprises for us in the future, the most interesting of them being the possibility to synchronize all the data from our terminals with iTunes via WiFi, a functionality similar to that of the application Wi-Fi Sync. Here is what Apple is preparing for us:

  • Audio and video streaming from Apple servers to your devices, probably iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch;
  • Audio and video streaming from your home computer to your other devices;
  • Wireless Sync with iTunes.

The streaming functions will most likely be available exclusively via WiFi, I doubt that Apple will allow users to do this via a 3G connection. For now, there is no information regarding the availability of these new features for iTunes, but I believe that Apple will introduce them sometime in the fall when it releases a new model of iPod Touch.
