What's new in iOS 4.1 beta

Yesterday Apple released iOS 4.1 beta, the newest version of iOS that should have solved many of the iOS 4.0 problems that users had, but especially the signal problems that iPhone 4 owners have been reporting. Unfortunately, the problems with the signal have not been solved, but let's see what Apple introduced new in iOS 4.1 beta:

1. It seems that Apple has changed the calculation method of the GSM signal, some users report that now the 3G signal is displayed differently, that is, the phone displays fewer signal bars than before.

2. The graphics of the signal antennas have been modified, so that the first 3 signal bars are now larger, more prominent, a change that Apple announced a few days ago when it responded to accusations regarding signal problems. The green parts represent the additions made by Apple over the previous bar graphics.

3. The baseband version for 4.1 beta is still 05.13.04 in the case of iPhone 3G/3GS terminals, but for iPhone 4 the baseband was updated to version 02.07.01 and it remains to be seen if the exploits of the Dev Team still work , but I assume they will work without problems.

4. The Game Center application is back.

5. The opening speed of the camera has been improved.

6. You can remove the "spell check" added in iOS 4.0.

7. It would seem that the speed of the iPhone 3G has been improved, but this is only a beta version.

8. The problems with the iPhone 4 signal remained.

9. The "Phone" application will not change its name if you change the language.

10. iPhone 4 – With the rotation of the camera to take pictures in Landscape Mode, the video/photo icons will also rotate.

11. iPhone 4 – In the "Favorites" section you will be able to add phone numbers for video calls.

12. In this new beta version there is the option to modify the metadata content of the multimedia files. In short, we will be able to see information about the resolution, size, format of the multimedia files, etc.

13. All application icons from the AppStore now appear in the resolution corresponding to the Retina Display screen.

That's about all the news from iOS 4.1 beta, not too many interesting things, but this is only the first beta version and others will surely follow.
