Is the Apple stock crisis just a marketing move?

A lot of people wonder if Apple has staged a small stock "crisis" in order to generate publicity and increase sales of its products. Apple has had a product crisis since March, when the iPad tablet was launched, and Apple was not able to produce enough tablets for consumers, and the crisis extended to the iPhone 4, which is now hard to find in stores. During yesterday's conference, where Apple presented its financial situation, Tim Cook (CEO Apple) was asked if Apple "directed" a stock crisis in order to increase its sales. Of course, Apple's official answer was a categorical "no" and blamed the Apple suppliers who are trying to meet the current demand on the market.

"We do not purposely create a shortage for buzz," Cook said, adding that all of the company's suppliers are working hard to fulfill orders.

Only those at Apple know the truth about this stock crisis and we will probably never find it out, anyway the stock crisis = record sales for Apple and even if Apple doesn't do it now it is possible to do it in the future to generate sales.
