After you jailbreak with the jailbreak solution from jailbreakme.com, you will notice that upon restart, a colored stripe will appear on the phone screen, on the right side of the apple. Don't worry, it's normal for the stripe to appear there because it's part of the payload that's implemented to jailbreak the phone. It does not affect your phone in any way, so don't worry.
